MINERAL GARDEN

Beneath the canopy of a mature oak, a tired front garden is reimagined as a mineral landscape of texture, movement and seasonal change. Drought-tolerant perennials and ornamental grasses soften the evergreen structure of lemon-scented cypress, while crushed granite, natural stone and corten steel establish a restrained architectural framework. Sculptural boulders, reclaimed vessels and a rain basin lend permanence to the composition. Permeable mineral surfaces accommodate self-seeding and the gradual migration of planting, allowing the garden to develop its own character through ecological succession and time.
