Caring for gardens

JAN 2026

To care for a garden is not necessarily to maintain it, but to establish the conditions in which it can flourish independently. We approach landscapes as living systems, shaped by the relationships between plants, soil, climate and time. Through considered composition, ecological understanding and material restraint, we seek to create gardens that find their own equilibrium.

Our interest lies in landscapes that demand less intervention as they mature. Planting communities that coexist and regenerate, materials that weather with integrity, and spaces that accommodate the irregularities of natural growth. Care becomes an act of observation and discernment: editing rather than controlling, intervening where necessary and allowing the landscape to determine much of its own character.

A garden is never complete. Its permanence lies not in preserving a fixed image, but in its capacity to adapt, renew and evolve.
